Malawi is set to receive 50,000 Bob Eco Electric Motorcycles!
In February 2024, we initiated a groundbreaking sustainable transportation endeavor aimed at cultivating a greener future, fostering employment, and nurturing entrepreneurship in Malawi. Collaborating with Mr. Simplex Chithyola Banda, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, we have forged an agreement to bring this vision to fruition by commencing the distribution of the initial batch of 50,000 Bob Eco electric motorbikes, complemented by strategically positioned hubs. Together, we aspire to revolutionize transportation across Malawi.
These electric motorbikes will be easily accessible to young individuals at an affordable, all-inclusive rental rate, encompassing rental fees, registration, battery swapping and charging, insurance, maintenance, and a comprehensive safe driving course.
Each hub will serve as a comprehensive swapping station housing the Bob Eco electric motorbikes, battery swapping stations, and solar panels for generating sustainable electricity to charge the batteries. Drivers will be able to swap batteries in less than a minute!
By offering these eco-friendly mobility solutions, we are bolstering the government's vision of a greener future for Malawi.
The objectives of this sustainability initiative are monumental, aiming to curb CO2 emissions, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and mitigate noise pollution. Furthermore, we are committed to generating employment opportunities for young individuals, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting self-employment. Through the establishment of local assembly and management units, we are nurturing sustainable growth and contributing to the local economy.
